7th Grade English Language Arts

My name is Amy Kusmierz and I teach 7th Grade ELA. I have been with Itasca District 10 since 2019. I have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English with Secondary Education Certification from Elmhurst College. My goals are to strengthen your child’s skills in ELA through positive reinforcement, ignite their passion for reading as well as build up their writing, speaking, and listening skills. I also encourage all students to join clubs or sports and get involved. This gives students the opportunity to grow in a social setting outside of academics. Outside school, I love traveling, spending time with my family, and reading. I like camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy watching older movies and football.
